Chef Eric Ripert Finds His Perfect Fit With Made-To-Measure Suiting By Sartorio

The celebrated chef is suited up by a master, Sartorio’s CEO, Antonio Paone, as he goes through the meticulous made-to-measure process.

Eric Ripert would be the first to admit that he doesn’t get dressed up often. When overseeing the kitchen of one of the world’s finest restaurants, the daily uniform consists of a chef’s jacket far more often than a suit jacket. So when the time does come to get spiffed up, the Michelin-starred executive chef and co-owner of New York City’s Le Bernardin—which is currently ranked in the top 25 restaurants in the world—likes to pull out all the stops with suit that’s truly special. And in the world of men’s tailoring, it doesn’t get much more special than a made-to-measure suit created to its wearer’s specifications and expressly to fit their body.

Perhaps that’s why Ripert was so excited to partner with one of the top names in tailoring, Sartorio, to go through Barneys’ signature made-to-measure process and create a suit fit just to him. Ripert worked with Antonio Paone, CEO of the Naples-based brand, and David Anicich, manager of men’s tailoring at Barneys' Madison Avenue flagship, to select the fabric for his suit and pick details like the buttons, lining, and silhouette. Then came the measurements to ensure that the suit would have an impeccable fit.
